Barkbox December 2013 Review

Barkbox time!  For those who don’t know Barkbox is a monthly subscription to dog toys and treats, because who shouldn’t spoil their dog with their own subscription box right? The price monthly varies if you purchase the 6 month subscription it is $19.99 per month, if you purchase the 3 month package it is $24 dollars a month, and if you do month to month it is $29.99. My 6 month subscription was to renew December but due to lack of funds I can’t commit to the 6 months. I was about to cancel when barkbox said “are you sure we will take 10 dollars off your box?” and so I said to myself I will at least get him the December box for $19.99. The rest of the year is still hanging in the balance. I might have to stop for a little bit. Anyway Barkbox arrived early, but I dilly-dallied posting this because I made it one or Rangers Christmas Presents. This box was very treat heavy again, I have so much backstock right now of treats! It is crazy.

Jax & Bones Penguin Rope Toy $14.00

This toy is so cute and it is sturdy and will last awhile since it is made with rope. Check out their website, they have so many other cute rope animal toys. Ranger is a toyaholic, he is like a little child and loves playing with them all. He has a basket filled with his toys and often I see him digging his nose in it, and I sometimes will find him asleep with all his toys surrounding him. Little goofball.

Superior Farms Pet Provisions Lamb Toasters 3oz $8.99

I have received products from Superior Farms in the past. I love their treats because they have great ingredients. I mean there is lamb in this treat how often do I give Ranger lamb treats? Never. I like that there is variety.

Plato Turkey with Cranberry Treats 4oz Bag $6.00

Plato treats are very festive this time. It’s like my dog is getting a holiday feast. I have so much Plato treats right now in back-stock from other barkboxes. Not that I don’t feed Ranger this stuff, it’s just he has so many treats right now.

Wet Noses Peanut Butter Biscuit $1.79

Haven’t given him this yet, but it is a great sized biscuit and I know he will eat it all up.

Barkworthies Beef Bladder $5.25

As soon as I saw this item I knew it would be gone in a heartbeat. He grabbed it immediately and chewed on it for maybe 30 minutes and it was gone. I love Barkworthies! It seems to be often in his boxes and that is just fine with me!

Overall i am very happy with my box, and I am not sure if I should discontinue. I am short on funds so I can’t commit to 6 more months and he does have so many treats and toys right now. However I do enjoy getting that monthly present for my puppy. This is also my very first subscription I started with. I might have to come back to barkbox when I am able to re-commit. So this could be my last barkbox review for a little while.  :/

BarkBox November 2013 Review

My Barkbox came! Always an exciting day when barkbox comes. My dog freaks out whenever any box comes now because he thinks each one has goodies for him. This one smelt great to him apparently; he attacked the box!

image (24) image (25)

This one is all about the goodies, it is after all the month for Thanksgiving! So my photos are a little less quality because I had to take them fast because he wanted  that toy and treats!

PetSafe Toy Pogo Plush Dog Toy $ 12.52

I wasn’t able to get a picture of the toy in it’s packaging because he took this toy right away. Never can have enough of these types of toys. It’s stuffing-less and very durable. Just the way want it! He has too many toys so I had to throw some old ragged ones after this. He likes it, naturally. 🙂

image (29)

Twistex Treats Vanilla Mint $ 7.13

I was happy to get these because I use Greenies typically, but they are so pricey so I haven’t bought any in awhile, so it’s nice to get these. I gave one to ranger right away, I wouldn’t say he loved it. he sniffed it forever but he did eat it. So we will see how he feels about the next one I give him.

image (30)

Bocce’s Bakery Truffle Mac & Cheese $ 9.50

Fancy treats. 🙂 He likes these, this isn’t the first treats he got from Bocce’s. So he will be happy with these.

image (31)

Nootie YumZies Duck Jerky Chews $15.50

He loves duck treats! We received duck treats in August box and he ate those all up! He loves these things!

I love Barkbox, my 6 months subscription is over, but I am renewing. It’s nice getting treats for my dog monthly. I find new brands I would never hear of otherwise. I like how products are usually made in USA and they use quality ingredients. The whole thing is awesome. I am racking up a tonnnnn of treats though. 🙂 Maybe next month..less treats? I am sure it will be cute and festive. 🙂

Barkbox October 2013 Review

image (4)

It is Barkbox time! So Happy Barkbox came in the mail. My dog has sine decided every box that comes in the mail is a Barkbox and attacks my other box subscriptions as they come in. I’m very happy about my October Barkbox, it is festive and includes two fun toys.

image (4)image (11)

Let’s start with the top of the list on the Barkbox card! The West Paw blue rubber toy Ranger is addicted to.

image (5)

West Paw Bumi  $12.00

The toys will not be shown in their packaging because Ranger took off with them way too fast. It’s a fun rubber durable toy. I thought he’d play tug-of-war with it, but more or less he likes me to throw it for him to fetch, and he likes to show off flinging his toy around. 🙂 It floats which is always a bonus when you have a lab too!

image (6)

Fetch & Glow American Large Dog Toy $9.99?

This toy is pretty cool, simplistic but Ranger is after all a simple dog. He loves rubber balls! He is addicted to those chuck it whistler balls because he loves just chewing on them. This ball is pretty big for his mouth but it is definitely his favorite now. Glow on the dark alway makes it cooler.

Bakers Best Autumn Harvest Treats $6.99?? (unknown value can’t find it online).

Love this because of the natural ingredients. Simple ingredients, including goat liver, pumpkin, dried cranberries. I’m happy I got this item for my pup.

Fuitables Dog Treats Share Pack $4.99

It’s like a bag of candy you hand out trick or treaters. Very cute idea! It comes with 8 packs you can share with your dogs friends. I gave Ranger some of the Pumpkin Apple Flavor, it smells so good and festive. He loved them!

image (9)

Etta Says! Crunchy Rabbit Chews $1.35

Oh he loves all of Etta Says products. It was gone in probably a minute. But he sure did love it!

Overall I am very happy with this box, he received two toys and he loves both of them! He got wholesome, good ingredient snacks that are nice and festive. October Box is a hit!

BarkBox September 2013 Review.

It is BarkBox time! Do you know how happy I was to see this box when I got home from work? Finally Ranger’s box came in the mail. I committed to the 6 month program and I am glad I did (it is the best value after all). This actually is the first box I subscribed to, this is my 4th box (however it is my first one on my blog). I love Barkbox! So does Ranger, he’s so sad with the picture taking, he just wants what’s inside that box!

Your box always comes with this card, stating the theme and the details of each item you received.

Hmmm Exercise my dogs brain huh? Sounds interesting and cute for the month of September. Let’s start with the top of the List!

photo (7)

Our Pets IQ Treat Ball Retail Price $8.99

It’s essentially a plastic ball where you can please treats inside and your dog has to try to get those treats out of the ball. Okay I think this a great concept however I know my dog won’t be into this. He is a smart dog no doubt, but he really doesn’t hold much interest with toys that are difficult, he is impatient. He is simple he wants to chew bones, he wants to play fetch with toys, he likes his stuffing-less toys, but he definitely is not determined and will lose interest if he doesn’t get a treat right away. I put treats inside this ball and set it out, he tried for like a minute to chew off the top then said forget it. Maybe my mom’s dog will like it? We will see. Also it is made in China, I wish Barkbox would stop with the chinese items.

photo (8)

Superior Farms Venison Nik Knacks  Retail Price $3.99

He LOVES these type of treats. The treat is a deer ear, and it is made in this country (always a plus). It was gone in maybe all 10 minutes. When I held it in my hand he sat there..and kept lifting his paw which means “See I am sitting and I am shaking I will do any command for this treat”! He loves it that’s for sure, but I would never purchase this item. 4 dollars and it lasts for 10 minutes? Uhmm no I can find a 10 or 12 dollar chew that will last a week.

photo (10)

Barkworthies Beef Tendon Retail Price $3.15

This is the second time I have received barkworthies products. They have great products, all natural. He loves this stuff so I am sure he will inhale it.

photo (12)

Wagatha’s Tuscan Pizza Italian Herbs & Cheese Organic Dog Biscuits Retail Price $6.95

These look tasty and healthy for my dog. He loved the smell of the box he kept trying to open it up! Wheat, soy and corn free! Sounds good.

photo (11)

Vetra Care Pet  Liquid Bandage Retail Price $8.95

This is interesting, I have never heard of it. Liquid bandages for you dog when he hurts himself. I think it’s a cool idea how was this not thought of before? I definitely will use this when he hurts his pads to his paws. 🙂

photo (9)

Etta Says! Deer Chew Retail Price $1.00

More yummy items for my pup, I have never tried this brand but I am looking forward to it. I’m sure he will love it.

That is all folks! So to total the items out the retail cost is $33.03, my subscription costs $19.99 so it is a $13.00 value. However I’m not too impressed this month, the one toy we got will never be used my him. He mainly got things to chew on, this month just seemed less imaginative. I do like the liquid bandages though! It’s my least favorite box I’ve received, but I can’t be crazy about them all right? I wish my box was more like August’s! I do love all the exposure to new dog products I just wish the items were a little better this month. Also shipping wasn’t the best this month. I get sent an email on the 11th saying it is on it’s way and it arrived 10 days later ( and the tracking number still says my package is in New Jersey) I thought I was never going to get it since it said it was no where near here. But I still love Barkbox. Looking forward to my October box.
